Introduction
As an Account Executive for Allen Hall Public Relations (AHPR), the University of Oregon’s student-run PR agency, I worked with the Sustainable City Year Program (SCYP) to elevate their communications and support their mission of fostering sustainable partnerships between the University of Oregon and local governments.
Client
The Sustainable City Year Program (SCYP) is a year-long partnership between the University of Oregon and a specific Oregon city to help the city achieve its sustainability goals. SCYP facilitates collaboration between university resources and local government projects, making effective communication with stakeholders a critical component of its work.

Account Executive
My role involved developing and executing strategic communication initiatives to help SCYP connect with its stakeholders. I focused on content creation, graphic design, and providing the client with tools for long-term success.

Newsletter Development
I transcribed kickoff event speeches and interviews to create a detailed newsletter. This newsletter expressed gratitude to those involved and aimed to make stakeholders excited for the year ahead.
Graphic Design
I created graphics for SCYP’s Instagram and LinkedIn platforms. Each design was tailored to the target audience to effectively communicate the program’s mission and goals.

Communications Guide
I developed a comprehensive communications guide to support SCYP after AHPR’s involvement ended. This guide included a vision board for their next city partnership, a communications plan, news release and email templates, and a list of recommendations to improve their communications next year.
