About Me

Hi! I’m so happy you’ve found your way here; it’s great to have you. Let me introduce myself.

I’m Chloe Jurva. I’m an aspiring public relations professional with a strong passion for strategic communication, political PR, and brand development. Currently, I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations at the University of Oregon, with minors in political science and ethics. I’ll be graduating in June 2025 from the Clark Honors College, where I’ve been able to develop both my academic and professional skills through a combination of coursework and hands-on experience.

My journey in PR began with an interest in how messages are crafted and delivered to influence public perception. Over time, this has grown into a deeper fascination with the intersection of PR and politics. I’m particularly drawn to how PR strategies can shape not only brand identities but also political campaigns and societal movements. The dynamic environment of political communication, especially during pivotal moments like elections, has motivated me to explore this field more closely.

Currently, I’m working as a Strategy Team Member for the University of Oregon’s Ad Team. In this role, I collaborate with my team to develop innovative brand strategies for major clients, including AT&T. This experience is allowing me to think critically and creatively about how brands connect with audiences, particularly Gen Z, in today’s fast-paced, digital landscape. It’s also an amazing opportunity to dive deeper into service-based branding, bridging the gap between consumers and technology through a more human-centered approach.

International experience has been a key aspect of my growth in PR. During my internship at IN+ADDITION Communications in London, I had the opportunity to work on brand strategy for new clients, curate mailers using brand products, and gain insight into how global PR agencies operate. This experience gave me a broader perspective on communication strategies and taught me the importance of adaptability in an ever-changing global market.

Additionally, I am the Finance Director for the University of Oregon’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), where I manage organizational finances and support our various initiatives. This role has given me invaluable insight into the financial and logistical side of public relations, allowing me to think more holistically about event planning, fundraising, and campaign management—skills I plan to apply in future roles within public affairs and political campaigns.

When I’m not working on campaigns or crafting PR strategies, I love to stay active and creative. I ran my first half marathon last year, and hiking is one of my favorite ways to recharge. I also enjoy spending time crafting, as it gives me a creative outlet that balances analytical work. A lot of my drive and personality comes from my family, particularly my mother and sister. Without their constant support and inspiration, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

As I look toward the future, I’m excited to continue blending my passions for PR and politics. I’m particularly interested in pursuing a career in political communications or public affairs, where I can help shape narratives that influence public opinion and drive meaningful change. If you’re interested in connecting to discuss public relations, political communication, or potential collaborations, please feel free to reach out. I’d love to hear from you!
